Dear Prayer Warriors,
I pray this message finds you well and deeply rooted in the peace of Christ.
This month, our team joyfully completed the Discipleship Bible School (DBS) and celebrated the graduation of 10 Bible students who have now been launched into their next steps of ministry! Over the past three months, these local evangelists, missionaries, pastors, and saints read the entire Bible cover to cover. Through in-depth lectures and assignments, they learned how to study Scripture through Inductive Bible Study (IBS) and gained practical tools for discipling others.
We are thrilled to share that five of these graduates have committed themselves to long-term missions. It’s amazing to witness the hand of God mobilizing His people to the nations!
Restoration & Hope
In addition, I’ve had the privilege to minister in drug rehabilitation and prison centers for both men and women. During these visits, I shared my testimony and the hope of the Gospel. Many of these individuals have endured years of torment from addiction, and violence. Some of the women were tragically human trafficked, taken from their provinces and forced into sex work, often kept under the control of drugs. These men and women are desperate for love, truth, and revival, and it is an honor to bring them the message of Jesus Christ, who alone can set them free.
International Teams
This month, I have also been helping to host incoming YWAM short-term teams. It has been such a blessing to welcome groups from China, Brazil, and the Netherlands! Our base is alive with excitement as these young people serve wholeheartedly here in Cambodia. They are partnering with the Youth Development Center (YDC) through English classes and sports programs, which our local children absolutely love, especially the chance to play soccer and make new friends!
Cambodia & Thailand
The nation of Cambodia remains on high alert. Sadly, the ceasefire has ended, and tensions have risen as Thailand launched an attack at the border, followed by the assassination of Cambodian politician Lim Kimya by a Thai citizen. These events have strained diplomatic efforts that were previously moving toward reconciliation.
Yet in the midst of this unrest, we hold firmly to the truth that the Gospel transcends borders and politics. Our hearts ache for both Cambodia and Thailand, two nations deeply loved by God. We refuse to see them as divided, but rather as brothers and sisters whom Christ longs to reconcile to Himself and to one another. We continue to pray that peace and healing will flow between these neighboring nations, and that any tension or animosity would be replaced with unity and revival.
Please also join us in praying specifically for Thai pastors and missionaries, that they would be strengthened, encouraged, and equipped to continue shining the light of Jesus in their communities. May the Church in both Cambodia and Thailand grow in love, humility, and partnership for the sake of the Gospel.
"We don't have spiritual authority without unity. Jesus prayed about unity because he knew without it, division drains the power of God out of us when we don't have it (unity)."
-Sheryl Brown, YWAM Perth Australia
YWAM 2025
Amid these challenges, YWAM Cambodia recently held its annual national conference, where YWAMers from across the country gathered for intercession and vision casting. Together, we prayed for unity, clarity, and a fresh outpouring of God’s Spirit over our ministries. Our collective prayer is, to see 10% of Cambodia become believing disciples of Jesus, and to witness a multiplication movement that transforms this nation for His glory in this generation. We will increase this percentage as each marker is achieved until we see 100%. As for now we want to keep the goal within our SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound).
Exciting Update:
We’re so thankful to share some amazing news! Recently, YWAM was given the incredible opportunity to share the Gospel both with the Prime Minister’s wife and on a national government news broadcast.
While the war continues to hang in the balance, our team has been faithfully working to bring aid to families affected by the conflict. During one of our outreach trips, a divine appointment unfolded the Prime Minister’s wife happened to be at the same location. Our team was able to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with her personally.
Later, during a televised news segment, our team was asked why we cared so deeply and why we desired to help. This opened the door for a bold public testimony to declare before the nation that we serve and love because of Jesus Christ and that God loves the people of this nation deeply. How cool is God!!!!! (Nerding out, that God gave us these cool moments).
In Loving Memory of Afioga Fiso Ah Loon
1962-2025
My dear friend and fellow missionary, Afioga, from Samoa, recently went home to be with the Lord. She was one of the very first people I connected with when I arrived here last year in 2024, and her passing has deeply touched my heart.
Afioga dedicated her entire youth and adulthood to serving God in missions. She faithfully left YWAM Samoa and followed His call to Cambodia over 12 years ago, pouring out her life in love, service, and prayer for this nation. She was a beautiful woman of God, gentle in spirit, steadfast in faith, and radiant with the joy of Jesus.
Her life made a lasting Kingdom impact, and her legacy continues to inspire those of us who remain. I will always cherish her friendship and her example of wholehearted devotion to Christ. I pray that one day, we will all have the joy of meeting her again when we are at rest with the Lord for eternity, for she was truly a woman beautifully filled with Jesus.

Prayer Requests:
New DBS Graduates: Pray for the 10 Bible students who have completed the Discipleship Bible School, that they would walk in boldness, faith, and wisdom as they step into new seasons of ministry.
Long-Term Missionaries: Lift up the 5 graduates who have committed to long-term missions, that the Lord would provide for their needs and open doors for fruitful ministry.
Prison & Rehab Ministry: Pray for continued breakthrough among men and women struggling with addiction, violence, and trauma that they would encounter true freedom in Christ.

Peace Between Nations: Intercede for healing and reconciliation between Cambodia and Thailand, that political unrest would not hinder the Gospel’s work or the unity of the Church.
Thai Pastors and Missionaries: Pray for strength, encouragement, and fresh anointing for those faithfully serving the Lord in Thailand.
YWAM Cambodia Vision: Ask God to multiply disciples and raise up a generation of believers who will see Cambodia transformed by the Gospel believing for the vision of the nation to come to faith in Christ.
Thank you for continuing to pray, give, and stand with us missionaries. Please keep Cambodia, Thailand, our team, and these new Bible graduates in your prayers as we continue to see God’s Kingdom expand!
