Dear Prayer Warriors,
“I thank my God every time I remember you.” Philippians 1:3
This verse comes to mind every time I write these newsletters because I know they are going to my loved ones; family, friends, pastors, my home church, and my women’s Bible study. I pray you know how deeply loved and how thankful I am to God for each of you. It is such a joy to share how God is moving and working here in Cambodia. So, I pray this message finds you well, encouraged, and deeply rooted in the peace of Christ.
Base Life
Wow, this month flew by! I am so thankful for all that God is doing here on the mission field. It has been a full and joyful season. We have officially welcomed two mission babies into our community, with one more on the way, and in August we will celebrate a marriage as well. Our YWAM family continues to grow, and it has been such a privilege to witness these exciting milestones together.
With all of this wonderful news has also come a busy season. Many of our staff families are taking time away for maternity leave and honeymoons, which means I've stepped in to help lead two departments for the time being: our Discipleship Bible School (DBS) and our Teams Department. (Cue the nervous laughter!) It's definitely stretching me, but I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our team this season. The wonderful part about these roles is how relational I get to be, and present. So for myself that is the sweetest part: getting to speak with students, incoming teams, and church groups is so
special.

Village Life
This past week, our ministry, 'Light to the Nations,' received a donation of clothing for some of the girls at one of our village school locations. Watching their excitement was such a gift.
In the village, families share everything they have with one another. Because of that, receiving something that belonged just to them was incredibly special. The girls immediately held their new clothes over themselves to check the sizing, then spent the next several minutes laughing, dancing, twirling, and showing each other how beautiful they looked. Their joy was contagious you would have absolutely loved seeing it.
Moments like these remind me that even what may seem like a small gift can communicate the deep love of Christ in a tangible way.

Upcoming Teachings
Over the next several weeks, I have the opportunity to teach in two different settings, and I couldn't be more excited.
First, I'll be sharing at our weekly Community Night, where families and children from the surrounding villages gather for worship, fellowship, and a Bible message. It's similar to a Wednesday evening church service, with separate teachings for children and adults.
This ministry has become such a meaningful part of our community. Every week, around 35–40 children ride their bicycles to our base to attend. We also have several couples and families who come faithfully, and it has been incredible to watch the Gospel continue to take root in the lives of so many.
"But Jesus called the children to him and said, 'Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Luke 18:16
Then in August, I'll be teaching one of the weeks in our Discipleship Bible School on the Late Prophets. This is a section of Scripture that I absolutely love, and I cannot wait to walk through it with our students.
One of the greatest joys has been watching the transformation taking place in their lives. Many of these students started with YWAM in January. They have now completed our Discipleship Training School (DTS), faithfully served on outreach to other nations, and are now immersing themselves in God's Word through this Bible school. You can just see God’s thumbprint in this, it's all so good! Several of them were baptized earlier this year, and now they are spending each day growing deeper in their relationship with Christ through Scripture.
I love teaching, and the prophetic books can be challenging, but they are also incredibly beautiful. They reveal God's holiness, His justice, His relentless pursuit of His people, and His unwavering covenant love. My prayer is that as we study these books together, our students won't simply gain more biblical knowledge, they will fall even more deeply in love with the God who has always been pursuing them.
Prayer Request
Missions Families
Pray for our growing YWAM family as we welcome new babies, support young families, and continue training and sending missionaries. Ask God to provide unity, health, provision, and wisdom for our leadership team.
Wisdom and Strength
Pray that I would steward these responsibilities well and continue to serve with joy.
Upcoming Teachings
Pray for the upcoming Community Night teaching and for my week teaching the Late Prophets in DBS. Ask that the Holy Spirit would guide the preparation and that God's Word would deeply impact those who hear it.
Financial Provision
Please pray for continued financial provision. People to stand with in prayer and giving as we continue sharing the Gospel, teaching the Bible, and serving communities throughout Cambodia.
The Village
Please pray for our DBS students as they continue to grow in their faith and understanding of Scripture. Pray that they would develop a deeper love for Jesus and be equipped to make disciples in Cambodia and beyond.
DBS Students
Pray for the children and families who attend our village ministries and Community Nights. Ask that they would encounter the love of Christ, grow in faith, and become strong disciples within their communities.
Thank you for your faithful prayers, generous support, and encouragement. Your partnership makes it possible to share the love of Christ, disciple believers, and serve communities here in Cambodia. I am so grateful to have you as part of this mission.
With love and prayerful gratitude,
Alexis Muñoz
