"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now."

Philippians 1:3-5 (NIV)

Dear Prayer Warriors,

I pray this message finds you well and deeply rooted in the peace of Christ.

Psalm 103

In April, I had the opportunity to teach on Psalm 103, and I am so grateful for the time I had to study it more deeply. This chapter reminded me how easy it is to move through busy days, responsibilities, and even ministry without pausing to remember all God has done.

David’s words called me back to gratitude. When we remember God’s faithfulness, forgiveness, and mercy, it changes the way we live and serve. Instead of striving, we begin to walk with more joy, peace, and dependence on Him.

Preparing to Co-Lead the DBS School in Cambodia

This past month we received interest from 10 students for the upcoming DBS school in Cambodia. We are continuing to pray for more students to join us as we prepare for this season.

It has been such an encouragement to see teachers confirmed for each week, and now we are beginning preparations for staff training. I’m expectant for all God will do through this school and grateful for the opportunity to pour into students who desire to know His Word more deeply.

Teaching in Romania

Recently, I was invited to teach at a DBS in Timișoara, the first YWAM Bible school in Romania. The team originally hoped to welcome students from Africa, but visa delays made that impossible in time for the school.

Even with the unexpected challenges, the team decided to move forward by hosting an open Bible seminar for local churches, community members, and missionaries. Since my ticket was already booked, I gladly said yes to serving however the team needed.

Travel Day

Getting to Romania was quite the journey, 42 hours of travel, including long bus rides and multiple flights. By the time I reached Budapest, I realized I needed rest before continuing.

Through a beautiful provision from God, I was connected to a YWAM base in Budapest that welcomed me with such kindness. After resting, I spent time at their café, Café Selah, where they minister through urban outreach and business as missions.

Later, I went on a prayer walk through the city. As I thanked God for bringing me safely this far, I felt prompted to share the Gospel with someone. I prayed for God to highlight who He wanted me to speak with.

That day I spoke with two women about Jesus. One of them began to weep as we talked about the love of God. At that moment, I sensed so clearly that this unexpected stop in Hungary was part of God’s plan. It reminded me again that He sees people so personally and lovingly, I truly felt the love God had for this woman radiate over me. It was strange and so beautiful, God just gave me a glimpse of the love He felt for her, and it made me leave feeling so emotional and joyful because He saw her, and wanted to reveal He loved her!

Ministry in Romania

When I arrived in Romania, I was filled with joy meeting the missionaries there. The YWAM community in Timișoara is still in its beginning stages, using churches, homes, and hotel conference rooms to host ministry and teaching.

It felt like such an honor to be part of the very first DBS gathering there. Even though the school looked different than originally planned, it felt like a beautiful declaration that nothing can stop people from gathering around God’s Word. I taught the Early Prophets which is a 15 hour teaching for the week. So the material is rich and it can be a lot to cover but the seminar was full and the people so dedicated to come to sessions each day.

The leaders welcomed me with so much love and invited me to return in future seasons as they continue praying for Bible schools to spread throughout Romania and the Balkans.

Undisclosed Nation

I am currently teaching through the early prophets in another nation where, for safety reasons, I cannot publicly share my location online. I would deeply appreciate your prayers for wisdom, endurance, and safe travels during this season.

It has been incredibly humbling to serve alongside believers who live with the reality of religious persecution daily. Their hunger for Scripture and their thoughtful questions continually inspire me to study more deeply and grow alongside them.

This classroom is filled with such a beautiful mix of people, some educated professionals who have stepped away from work to study the Bible, and others who grew up in orphanages and have never known the love of an earthly father. Yet together they sit side by side sharpening each other in the scripture, eager to know God more. It is so beautiful.

Prayer Requests

YWAM Schools

  • Pray for the YWAM communities in Romania and across the Balkans as they continue building Bible schools and creating spaces for people to encounter God through His Word.

  • Pray for believers in the nation I am currently serving in, especially those facing religious persecution. Pray that they would remain encouraged, bold, and rooted in the love of Jesus.

  • Pray for more students to join the Bible school in Cambodia, for unity among staff, and for hearts that are hungry to know God deeply.

    Personal Prayer Request

  • My Dad is having heart surgery today (May 26), healing and recovery. Encounters God, and receives the Lord into his life.

  • Pray for strength, wisdom, and joy as I continue teaching and traveling this season.

  • Pray that my students would deeply encounter God’s love and be transformed through His Word.

  • Pray that I would continue walking in humility, dependence, and closeness with the Lord wherever He leads.

Thank you for being part of this journey. When I first said “yes” to missions, I never imagined the depth of joy it would bring. Your prayers, encouragement, and support are helping people encounter Jesus and understand His Word more deeply, and I am so grateful for each one of you.

With love and prayerful gratitude,

Alexis Muñoz
